We have a specialised claims team who are available 8.30am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday. We also operate a 24 hour urgent claim notification service by calling our office or 0800 635 477 (0800 ODL GRP).
We believe that the claims service is critical to the success of our business. We place a huge amount of value in this area. Because of the importance of this service, we only wanted the best people in the industry and in John Nikki and Sally we have achieved this. Our people are tenacious, have empathy for your situation, and have the experience and nous to get the job done.
THE TEAM
John runs the claims unit and is responsible for maintaining the standards that we expect from the Insurance Companies. John specialises in Commercial claims including Liability and Marine. Sally and Nikki both specialise in Domestic and Vehicle claims as well as assisting John with general claims management.
WHAT WE DO
- To work with you to ensure that insurance companies make a prompt and fair settlement of your claim
- Provide feedback to you on the progress of your claim
- Ensure your claims receive priority treatment by your insurer
- To prevent you or your business from incurring liability when in fact there is none
- To provide you with risk management advice for future loss prevention
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO DO IN THE EVENT OF A CLAIM?
- Take immediate action to safeguard the damaged property (eg get your vehicle towed to a safe place; secure your building if broken into)
- Do not accept liability for any damage done to other parties, even if you feel you are responsible
- Report the incident as soon as possible to the Claims Team at ODL Group Ltd (we may need to have an assessor/loss adjuster appointed)
WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?
- Complete the relevant claim form and send to ODL Group Ltd (by fax, email or post)Attach all other correspondence, accounts and statements
- If there is a delay in obtaining quotes or accounts please forward the completed claim form in the meantime so that your claim can be lodged with your insurer. Other information can be sent in later
- We will then work with your insurance company to settle your claim as promptly as possible
